Terms of Service

Last updated: September 19, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and calwonder ("we," "our," "the app") covering your use of the calwonder app and website. calwonder is a calendar app that helps parents capture and share event dates from school and community announcements. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use calwonder.

Who can use calwonder

calwonder is intended for parents and other adults managing family, school, and community calendars. You must be old enough to enter into a contract where you live — and at least 13 in any case — to hold an account. The app is not directed at children, and children should not create accounts.

Your account

You sign in through Google or Apple, so your account security depends partly on the security of that account. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us at help@calwonder.app if you believe someone else is using it.

Content you add

You keep ownership of the events, notes, locations, and calendars you create. You give us only the permission we need to store that content and display it back to you and to the people you've chosen to share a calendar with — nothing more. We don't use your content for advertising, and we don't sell it.

You're responsible for what you put into calwonder, and for making sure you have the right to share it with the people you share it with. A message forwarded from a school group may contain someone else's personal information; think before copying it into a calendar that others can read.

What you must not post or do

Don't use calwonder — in an event title, notes, location, calendar name, or anywhere else — to store, share, or distribute anything that:

Because calwonder is used to coordinate around children's schools and activities, we treat anything involving minors with particular seriousness.

Shared calendars

A shared calendar is visible to every member who has joined it. Share a join code only with people you intend to give access to, and remember that anything you add to a shared calendar can be read by its other members. If you own a shared calendar, you're responsible for who you invite to it and for the content posted on it.

Invite codes carry an access level, chosen by the owner when the code is created. A view-only code lets someone see the calendar's events; an "add events" code also lets them add their own, and edit or delete only the entries they added. The owner can edit or remove anything on a calendar they own.

You can leave a shared calendar someone else owns at any time, from Settings → Manage calendars → the ⋮ menu → "Leave calendar". You'll stop seeing it and its reminders. Events you already added remain on the calendar for its other members, since they belong to the calendar rather than to your membership.

Reporting a problem

If you come across content in calwonder that breaks these rules, email help@calwonder.app with enough detail for us to find it — the calendar name and the event, ideally. We review reports of objectionable content promptly and aim to act on them within 24 hours. You can also leave a shared calendar at any time, as described above, to stop seeing content from it.

Enforcement

If content or behaviour breaks these terms, we may remove the content, remove someone from a shared calendar, or suspend or terminate an account — without notice where the situation is serious, such as content involving a child. Where the law requires it, we may also report material to the relevant authorities.

Connecting Google Calendar

If you choose to connect a Google Calendar, calwonder requests read-only access and uses it for one purpose: to display your Google Calendar events alongside your calwonder events inside the app. We don't write to your Google Calendar, and we don't use that data for anything else. calwonder's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. You can disconnect at any time in Settings, or revoke access from your Google account.

Reminders are best-effort

calwonder sends reminders to help you remember dates, but they depend on your device, its settings, and its network — notifications can be delayed, silenced, or missed. Please don't rely on calwonder as the only safeguard for something that genuinely matters. You remain responsible for the dates you need to keep.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of calwonder as it develops, and we may update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, tell you in the app. Continuing to use calwonder after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Ending your account

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account. This takes effect immediately and can't be undone. We may terminate an account that breaks these terms, as described under Enforcement above.

Disclaimers

calwonder is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will preserve every piece of data in every circumstance.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, calwonder is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from a missed event, a missed reminder, or content posted by another user. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
