calwonder ("we," "our," "the app") is a calendar app that helps parents track and share event dates from school and community announcements. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how you can control or delete it.
When you create an account, we collect:
We do not collect location data, contacts, photos, or any device data beyond what's needed to operate the app (e.g. push notification tokens, if you enable reminders).
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
Connecting a Google Calendar is entirely optional, and calwonder works fully without it. If you do connect one, calwonder requests read-only access to your Google Calendar events (the calendar.readonly scope) and uses it for a single purpose: to display those events alongside your calwonder events inside the app. We never write to, modify, or delete anything in your Google Calendar.
calwonder's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Specifically, we do not use Google Calendar data for advertising, we do not sell or transfer it, and we do not allow humans to read it except where you have explicitly asked us to, where it is necessary for security or to comply with the law, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymised.
You can disconnect a Google Calendar at any time from Settings in the app, or revoke calwonder's access from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Disconnecting stops any further access immediately.
Your data is stored with Supabase, our backend infrastructure provider, encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access to your private calendar is restricted to you; access to a shared calendar is restricted to members you or another owner has explicitly added.
calwonder relies on a small number of third-party services to operate:
These providers process data only as needed to deliver their service to calwonder and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
We retain your account and calendar data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app, under Settings → Delete account — this takes effect immediately and can't be undone. If you can't access the app, email us at help@calwonder.app and we'll delete it for you.
calwonder is intended for use by parents and other adults managing family and school calendars. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
